In this policy, "Blenda", "we", "us" and "our" mean Ownourship Pty Ltd (ABN 61 680 878 479), a company based in New South Wales. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

01

What we collect

When you apply to join Blenda as a founder, expert or investor, we collect what you put in your application. That usually includes:

  • →your name, email address and phone number
  • →your LinkedIn or other profile links
  • →your company, role and location
  • →what you're building and what stage you're at (founders)
  • →your areas of expertise and experience (experts)
  • →your investment focus and the type of investor you are (investors)
  • →anything else you choose to tell us

If you join our Slack community, we can also see your Slack profile and what you post in channels. If you join coaching or discovery sessions with us, we keep notes on what we talk about so we can support you properly.

We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health information or racial or ethnic origin. Please don't include it in your application.
02

How we use it

  • →To review your application and decide whether Blenda is the right fit
  • →To get you set up in the community, including adding you to Slack
  • →To contact you about your application, sessions, events and community updates
  • →To run and improve our community, sessions and content
  • →To meet our legal obligations

Every application is reviewed by a person on the Blenda team. We don't use automated tools to make decisions about you.

03

How we use what's shared in the community

We use themes from the community to shape our sessions, content and Blenda Signals, our quarterly insights report. Anything we share is grouped and anonymous. We never name you, your company or your numbers without asking you first.

04

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We only share it:

  • →With the community, when you join. Your name, role (founder, expert or investor) and Slack profile are visible to other members.
  • →With service providers who help us run Blenda. These include Slack (our community), Netlify (website hosting), Google Workspace (email, calendar and video calls), Notion (internal notes) and Tally (forms). They only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • →When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
  • →If Blenda is sold or restructured, with the new owner, who must handle it the same way.
05

Overseas storage

Some of our service providers store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We use well-established providers with strong security practices. By applying to Blenda, you agree that your information may be stored overseas.

06

Website analytics

We use Netlify Analytics to understand how people use our website, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are. It works from server data and doesn't use tracking cookies or build a profile of you. We don't use advertising or retargeting pixels.

07

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including access controls and two-factor authentication on the tools we use. We keep it only for as long as we need it, then delete or de-identify it. No online system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee security, but we take it seriously.

08
